Joseph Micheal Leonard Mickey
Joseph Mickey comes from the Hesquiaht First Nations. He learned to carve from his father Mark Mickey senior. The Mickey family are renowned artists and come from Hesquiaht. For generations they have been known for carving, Joseph has a big list of accolade’s starting from his first carving; a paddle which was in the tradition of many artists, given away to a close family friend. Joseph also works in cedar bark and is very anxious to pick up new mediums.
